Thanks to the wonderful acceptance of the Chevy Bolt EV, the Chevrolet Motor Company plans to launch an additional 30 EVs over the next half-decade.

The Chevy Bolt EV
The newest version of this popular electric hatchback hits the road with a complete redesign. The updated look gives this vehicle an exciting appearance that matches the way it gets you around town.
There are several areas where the Bolt EV stands out compared to the Bolt EUV. For starters, the hatchback EV has a lower starting price. While the gap between base levels is only around $2,000, that’s money that can be put towards additional features and options.
The Bolt EV is also smaller than its EUV counterpart. The compact size allows it to get a higher range on a full charge. You’ll enjoy 259 miles of range, which is pretty impressive for its class. The smaller size also helps the Bolt EV jump off the starting line much faster than the EUV. This hatchback gets to 60 mph half a second faster than the EUV model.
The Chevy Bolt EUV
The newest edition to Chevy’s electric lineup is the Bolt EUV (electric utility vehicle). Think of it more like an electric SUV. It has a larger body than the hatchback Bolt: 6.3-inches longer and 3.1-inches of additional rear legroom.
The EUV receives some of Chevy’s newest technology. For example, this EUV can be equipped with Chevy’s hands-free driving system called SuperCruise. This feature is a semi-autonomous driving system that works on thousands of miles of American highways. It comes with an extra cost, but it’s also not available on the EV. The EUV is also the first model to use Chevy’s new high-eye daytime running lamps.
Common Traits
Both the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV have the same architecture. Both options run on a 65-kWh lithium-ion battery pack hooked up to an electric motor. This beast is rated to provide 200 horsepower.
You’ll also find many of the same interior features and upgrade options, including a large touchscreen infotainment center, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a host of available driver-assist features.

Both the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV are excellent additions to the electric vehicle market. The one that is right for you depends on what you need out of your EV.
