The FCA design team is led by Ralph Giles and his signature is found on many of the different models that come from this family of vehicles.  Because of his influence in the Dodge Viper, Jeep Wrangler, Alfa Romeo Giulia, and Chrysler Pacifica, he is an expert when it comes to design and balance you expect to enjoy when it’s time to get out on the road for a drive.  As the expert we can trust, let’s take a look at a few of the impressive models that Giles feels are some of the most ever designed.

Porsche 930 – For anyone that grew up in the 1970s, this was the car that was the sports car that everyone wanted to drive.  This impressive car showed up with the whale-tail design to let you see the look and the feel you want for the ride.  This is a car that has been the influence of many of the different models we’ve seen from a variety of automakers over the years and it has been the icon that we look to when confused about how to build or design a car that has the right balance.

Dodge ChargerThe original Charger and even the ones we see on the road today, bring about the impressive, powerful, and substantial build that makes it right for the drive when you want to show off pure sport and style.  The is the car that was used in the Dukes of Hazzard show and was the car that showed us what a muscle car should look like with its simple design and active feel that was perfect for the speed and power you wanted to be able to show off.  We still see the Charger as a model that shows us the designs and the qualities we want to see.

Ferrari GTO – One look at this classic Ferrari and you’ll certainly see the influence it has brought to the market over the years and used in a variety of other models.  The sinuous curves and lines make this the car that can be seen in the Viper and in a variety of Ferrari models of today.  This car continues to be one of the most admired even though most of the models we see today show up at the various annual auctions to be sold for millions of dollars each.

Alfa Romeo GTV – This is a car that Giles does own and has begun to make his own project car to build and create what he wants it to be.  It’s also one of the most attractive vintage Alfa Romeo models that we can find with its timeless beauty and absolutely gorgeous styling that makes it a car that can be part of this excellent list.  It’s easy to see why Giles would choose this car, and once he has his own project model running the way he wants, it’s a good chance we’ll see him driving around in this gorgeous vehicle during the nicer weather.

Chrysler ME Four-Twelve Concept – Here is a concept model that didn’t make its way to the market but is one that certainly offered the thought and look of the design that captures your eye and demands your attention.  This is a car that showed up at the 2004 Detroit Auto Show and it appears to be one that has influenced other models we see today.  This concept was named for the Mid-Engine layout, four turbochargers, and twelve-cylinder engine that make up the name and allows it to be a concept that could have been fun for the drive.
