The new Mazda CX-90 SUV debuted in January of 2023 and should be available soon at your Mazda dealer giving you a new SUV to drive.
This three-row SUV comes on an all-new performance-oriented large platform and features new electrified powertrains. The CX-90 takes its place as Mazda’s new flagship vehicle with a more aggressive appearance and high-performance capability.
Powerful and Responsive
The CX-90 is built on a larger, all-new platform that features RWD bias and a front engine layout. First debuted on the MX-5 Miata, Mazda’s Kinematic Posture Control will be featured on the CX-90 as well. This is a software program that helps suppress body lift and roll through tight corners, which allows passengers to maintain a natural posture. The seats and suspension have also been designed to provide balance and control in many different driving situations.
Under the hood of the CX-90 is a 3.3-liter inline-six turbo engine. This engine has the distinction of featuring the highest horsepower and torque from a Mazda mass-production engine. It makes 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque when using premium fuel. The powertrain also features a mild-hybrid system dubbed M-Hybrid Boost to add efficiency without compromising power. The electric motor is located between the engine and transmission to aid smooth acceleration and power the vehicle at low speeds. All powertrains for the CX-90 are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Elegant Design
Mazda definitely put extra work into the dignified design of the CX-90. Its appearance suggests high performance and refinement in one package. The interior is well-crafted with plenty of room for passengers and cargo.
Mazda’s new large platform gives the CX-90 a wider body and longer wheelbase to accentuate its strong stance. You can add to your individual CX-90 with available chrome details and 21-inch diamond-cut wheels with a black metallic finish.
Another new feature of the CX-90 is the Artisan Red color option. This is the latest Takuminuri color and has been developed specifically for the CX-90. Luxury and quality materials can be found throughout the cabin, including Nappa leather, wood, chrome trim, and soft fabric. Captain’s chairs are available for the second row as well, which reduces the available seating by one.
Modern Tech and Safety Features
With a bevy of new and advanced tech features, the CX-90 gives drivers peace of mind through many standard i-Activesense safety features. These include Blind Spot Monitoring, Radar Cruise Control, and Smart Brake Support among others. The available complement of tech features includes AC vents for the third row, upgraded interior lighting, and third-row USB charging ports. Large displays in the front are paired with physical buttons for a user-friendly experience.
The CX-90’s tech features aren’t just there to take up room, but instead, feel like a seamless blend to help the driver feel confident and in control of the vehicle.
The Mazda CX-90 can be ordered for pickup at your Mazda dealer now, and the first available units are scheduled to ship out this month.
