Making the Veloster Much Better

While the previous model of the Hyundai Veloster was one that had a hard time giving us the sportiness we want from under the hood, the new versions of this lightweight sports car showed up in Detroit to give us a look at what we can have with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that offers 275 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This is just one way this car happens to be upgraded for the drive that you’ll want to make when you see some open road in front of you. Here are some other things you need to know about this car.

Two More Engines to Choose From

Yes, you can choose the 2.0-liter engine in the Veloster N model that makes the power you’re looking for, but there is also a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine as well. This model gives you 201 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque as well. The standard model makes use of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine that brings you 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque to make sure you have the drive that makes sense for you when you head out on the roads for the ride.

Torque Vectoring

This system is designed to make the drive more active and controlled for you. It will be possible for you to take your 2019 Veloster out to the track and know you won’t have to deal with understeer when you hit a corner. This car is one that provides you with an incredible performance and makes the drive right for what you want to enjoy when it’s time to get out and have a lot of fun and torque vectoring aids in that process to make you drive like a pro around the track.

Improved Interior

Excellent materials will greet you when you step inside this gorgeous car and get ready for the drive. This is a car that has a seven-inch infotainment screen as standard equipment with an eight-inch model as the option you can choose. You’ll also be able to have the benefit of a heads-up display if you want to have the readouts of speed and directions in front of you while you drive. This is an impressive improvement over the previous model of the Veloster to make it a car that’s even more livable than it was in the past.

Designed in Korea and in the US

The collaboration of the design came from teams in Korea and in the US to make this a car that’s perfectly at home on the roads in the two largest markets for Hyundai. This car is attractive, offers upgrades in the look and feel, and is different from the previous version while continuing to offer us some of the attractive and interesting features we’ve enjoyed in the past including the small third door to access the rear seats of the Veloster. This is certainly a car worth your time and viewing when you head to your nearby Hyundai dealer.

N Performance Version

This is the most important aspect of the new Hyundai Veloster. While we’ve covered the engine, this car will use a six-speed manual transmission with rev matching, electronically adjustable dampers, body roll control, an electronically limited differential, and an adjustable exhaust that has several different modes to give you the sound you want from this car. This version also has some upgrades for the interior in order to make sure you can have the look and feel for this car as a complete package that can be a lot of fun for you on the road and at the track.
