The three shields will continue to be part of the Buick logo, but they won’t be overlapping or surrounded by a circle any longer. Additionally, these three shields in the new logo sit horizontally together instead of on an increasing diagonal line. This tri-shield look dates back to 1959 with some type of shield design that has been used since 1937. The new logo was recently filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), which makes this change somewhat official. With a move from the current model lineup to a new electrified future, it’s as good a time as any for the Buick brand to shake things up.
New Models are Coming for Buick
A recent teaser tells us the new Electra concept should arrive for Buick soon, but we don’t have any specifics about this new model. We should also see a new Regal offered to replace the old model once the calendar turns to 2023. This new Regal might be the first Buick to wear the new three-shield badge for this brand. Expect this new look to arrive for the various SUVs offered under this GM brand. We could be in for a serious expansion of the Buick brand.
What Models Does Buick Currently Offer?
Right now, there are four SUVs that make up the Buick North American lineup. These four SUVs are the Encore, Encore GX, Envision, and Enclave. Let’s take a quick look at what each one has for you.
